Dr. Ayla Nelson

Dr. Ayla Nelson was born in central Massachusetts and has always loved southern Maine’s coastal areas. Dr. Nelson completed her undergraduate education at the University of New England in Biddeford, ME, and later pursued a second bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from MCPHS University in Boston, MA. Having missed Maine, she returned to complete her doctorate degree at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine, where she graduated in 2019.

Dr. Nelson loves all aspects of general dentistry. In particular, she enjoys helping patients feel confident about their smiles and oral health through education, prevention, and various treatment options. Dr. Nelson was awarded the International Congress of Oral Implantologists’ Pre-Doctoral Student Achievement award.

Dr. Nelson enjoys downhill skiing in the winter and being on the water in the summer. She enjoys cooking, listening to music (all things 80’s and classic rock), and spending time with her friends, family, and two kitties, Muff and Blue!
